600,000 girls go missing in India every year- aborted before they are born; killed at childbirth; abandoned in infancy, allowed to die of mal-nourishment or lack of timely medical care.
As a part of A-Z Challenge, the blog will host a photograph of a
woman who survived, along with a quote by a famous (or not so famous)
woman.

Lovely picture and quote. Sad story.
Blessings, Geoff.
:( Gorgeous picture though.
Thank you for your photo blog.
I just finished reading the book "Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity," by Katherine Boo.
Mumbai is a city of contrasts.
Keep up the great photos. You are an artist.

beautiful picture and such a sad post.
I'll be back to see all your photos this month for sure. Congratulations on a very thought-provoking theme.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Eye openers can be good and bad. Today it seems I have received both kinds.
